Services Tool

Using the services tool, you can start, stop, pause or resume services. You can also enable or disable services for a particular hardware profile or set password access to services. With the services tool you can:

• Set up recovery actions to take place if a service fails, such as restarting the service automatically or restarting the computer.
• Turn services off if you suspect they may be causing a problem
• Diagnose if a service is currently running or if it has stalled
• Create custom names and descriptions for services so that you can easily identify them
